§ 598 — Mount Vernon urban renewal agency

§ 598. Mount Vernon urban renewal agency. A municipal urban renewal\nagency to be known as the Mount Vernon urban renewal agency is hereby\nestablished for the accomplishment of any or all of the purposes\nspecified in articles fifteen and fifteen-A of this chapter and in\naccordance with article eighteen of the constitution of the state of New\nYork. It shall constitute a body corporate and politic, be perpetual in\nduration, and consist of five members, consisting of the mayor,\npresident of the common council, comptroller, corporation counsel of the\ncity of Mount Vernon, New York and one other person who shall be\nappointed by and serve at the pleasure of the mayor. It shall have all\nthe powers and duties now or hereafter conferred by article fifteen-A of\nthis chapter upon municipal urban renewal agencies. It shall be\norganized in the manner prescribed by and be subject to the provisions\nof article fifteen-A of this chapter, and the agency, its members,\nofficers, and employees, and its operations and activities, shall in all\nrespects be governed by the provisions of such article.\n
