§ 92. Deputies. The secretary of state shall appoint a deputy, who may\nperform all the duties of the secretary of state. Any such deputy shall\nreceive an annual salary to be fixed by the secretary of state within\nthe amount appropriated therefor. The secretary of state may also\nappoint and fix the compensation of such other deputies, assistants and\nemployees as he shall deem necessary within the amount appropriated\ntherefor and prescribe their powers and duties.\n
