§ 625-b. Standardized victim notification and verification procedures\nfor police officers.
1.The commissioner of the division of criminal\njustice services in cooperation with the office shall develop and\nimplement a standardized procedure to be used by police officers, county\nsheriffs' departments and state police officers whereby victims of crime\nare notified about the rights of crime victims and the existence of\nprograms designed to assist crime victims.\n 2. In establishing a victims assistance notification procedure,\nconsideration shall be given to (a) developing a uniform method of\ninforming victims of crime of their rights and services available, (b)\nincluding notification as part of a routine task performed in the course\nof law enforcement duties, and (c) documenting a
