§ 168-a. Designation of days of commemoration.
1.A day of\ncommemoration is a calendar day so designated by this section or a\ncalendar day in any one year so designated by a proclamation of the\ngovernor or resolution of the Senate and Assembly jointly adopted.\n 2. A day of commemoration shall not constitute a holiday or\nhalf-holiday but shall be a day set aside in recognition and special\nhonor of a person, persons, group ideal or goal.\n 3.
