§ 159-A — Inclusion on the fallen firefighters memorial
§ 159-a. Inclusion on the fallen firefighters memorial. In the case of\na death of a firefighter, regardless of whether such death occurred\nbefore, on, or after the effective date of this section, that results\nfrom services performed in the line of duty, as determined by an\nauthoritative agency including, but not limited to, the workers'\ncompensation board, the federal Department of Justice, or the office of\nfire prevention and control, the name of that firefighter shall be\ninscribed upon the New York state fallen firefighters memorial on the\nCapitol Mall in Albany. The fallen firefighters memorial selection\ncommittee shall amend its election criteria so that it is not in\nconflict with the provisions of this section.\n
