§ 156-f. Evacuation drills. Except as may be otherwise provided in\nrules and regulations promulgated by the department of state pursuant to\narticle eighteen of this chapter, in any building owned or leased in\nwhole by the state or any agency thereof, an evacuation drill shall be\nconducted at least twice each year in which all of the occupants of the\nbuildings shall participate simultaneously and which shall conduct all\nsuch occupants to a place of safety. In New York city, the state fire\nadministrator shall make rules, regulations and special orders necessary\nand suitable to each situation, as appropriate.\n
