§ 21-1309. Jurisdiction of courts.\n Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, the phrase "court of\ncompetent jurisdiction" as used in the compact shall mean, with\nreference to courts of this state, the supreme court, and said court is\nhereby given all necessary and appropriate jurisdiction to hear and\ndetermine any action or proceeding brought before it pursuant to\nappropriate provisions of the compact. As used in section 11.6 of the\ncompact, the phrase "court of competent jurisdiction" shall mean, with\nreference to courts of this state, a court in which an appropriate\nproceeding under article seventy-eight of the Civil Practice Law and\nRules may be brought.
