§ 6-150. Nomination; vacancy caused by death or disqualification,\nunfilled at time of general or special election. If a vacancy shall\noccur in a nomination, caused by disqualification or death of the\ncandidate subsequent to noon of the Tuesday before a general or special\nelection and prior to the closing of the polls on such election day,\nsuch vacancy shall not be filled, and the votes cast for such deceased\ncandidate shall be canvassed and counted, and if he shall receive a\nplurality of the votes cast, a vacancy shall exist in the office for\nwhich such nomination was made to be filled in the manner provided by\nlaw for vacancies in office occurring by reason of death after election.\n
