  § 8600. Introduction. This article defines the practice of clinical\nlaboratory technology and provides for the licensing of clinical\nlaboratory technologists, cytotechnologists, and histotechnologists and\nfor the certification of clinical laboratory technicians and\nhistotechnicians. The general provisions for all professions contained\nin article one hundred thirty of this title shall apply to this article.\n
