§ 7601-a. Definition of the practice of psychology.

1.The practice of\npsychology is the observation, description, evaluation, interpretation,\nand modification of behavior for the purpose of preventing or\neliminating symptomatic, maladaptive or undesired behavior; enhancing\ninterpersonal relationships, personal, group or organizational\neffectiveness and work and/or life adjustment; and improving behavioral\nhealth and/or mental health. The practice includes, but is not limited\nto psychological (including neuropsychological) testing and counseling;\npsychoanalysis; psychotherapy; the diagnosis and treatment of mental,\nnervous, emotional, cognitive or behavioral disorders, disabilities,\nailments or illnesses, alcoholism, substance abuse, disorders of habit\nor conduct, the psycholo
