§ 7404 — Requirements for a license as a certified public accountant

§ 7404. Requirements for a license as a certified public accountant.\n1. To qualify for a license as a certified public accountant, an\napplicant shall fulfill the following requirements:\n (1) Application: file an application with the department;\n * (2) Education: have received an education, including a bachelor's or\nhigher degree or a foreign equivalent based on a program in accountancy,\nin accordance with the commissioner's regulations;\n * NB Effective until November 21, 2026\n * (2) Education: have received an education, including a bachelor's or\nhigher degree or a foreign equivalent from a program in accountancy that\nis registered by the department, or deemed comparable to a registered\nprogram as determined by the department.
