§ 6505-b. Course work or training in infection control practices.\nEvery dentist, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, podiatrist,\noptometrist, athletic trainer, and dental hygienist practicing in the\nstate shall, on or before July first, nineteen hundred ninety-four and\nevery four years thereafter, complete course work or training\nappropriate to the professional's practice approved by the department\nregarding infection control, which shall include sepsis, and barrier\nprecautions, including engineering and work practice controls, in\naccordance with regulatory standards promulgated by the department, in\nconsultation with the department of health, which shall be consistent,\nas far as appropriate, with such standards adopted by the department of\nhealth pursuant to section t
