§ 4604 — Continuing education adult schools

§ 4604. Continuing education adult schools.

1.The board of education\nof each school district may establish and maintain day and evening\nschools for adults, the controlling purpose of which shall be to provide\na general program of continuing education in all its aspects for the\nimprovement of the civic, vocational and general intelligence of adults\nand to enable them to make a wise use of their leisure time. Such\ncontinuing education adult schools may be of the following kinds:\n a. Citizenship schools providing instruction in English, civics, the\ncommon branches and other subjects which may increase the civic and\ngeneral intelligence of foreign born, illiterate and non-English\nspeaking persons.\n b. General continuing education adult schools providing instruction in\napprove
