§ 4318. Publications, bequests and donations. The school shall be\nentitled to receive copies of all books and other publications which are\ndistributed gratuitously by the state to township or county libraries,\ncommon schools, academies, colleges and societies. It may also receive\nin the name of the state, bequests or donations of money or any kind of\nproperty, but such money or property shall, in all cases, belong to the\nstate, and be subject to its control; provided that the same shall not\nbe diverted from the particular object for which it shall be bequeathed\nor donated.\n
