§ 176. Reward to informers. Any person who shall discover to the\ntrustees any secreted effects, property or things in action, belonging\nto such debtor, so that they shall be recovered by them, shall be\nentitled to ten dollars on the hundred dollars, and at that rate, on the\nvalue of the effects so discovered, to be paid by the trustees, out of\nthe estate of such debtor; but this section shall not extend to persons\nwho have such property, effects or things, in their own possession.\n
