§ 50-c. Discrimination based upon history of cancerous condition\nprohibited.
1.Neither the state civil service department nor any\nmunicipal commission may refuse to examine an applicant or, after\nexamination, to certify an individual who has been placed on a certified\neligible list, nor shall such person be deemed to be unfit for the\nperformance of the duties of a position solely because such person has a\nhistory of cancer, provided such person is able to perform in a\nreasonable manner the activities involved in the position sought or\nheld.\n 2. Nothing contained in this section shall be construed to limit the\nscope of section two hundred ninety-six of the executive law.\n 3.
