§ 117. Classification and compensation division. There shall be a\nclassification and compensation division in the department of civil\nservice. The head of such division shall be a director who shall be in\nthe competitive class of the classified civil service. The director and\nemployees of such division shall be appointed by the president of the\ncivil service commission.\n
