§ 79-g. Filing of certificates of honorable discharge with county\nclerks.
a.Notwithstanding the provisions of any general, special or\nlocal law to the contrary, any person filing a certificate of honorable\ndischarge in the office of a county clerk shall have the right to direct\nthe county clerk to keep such certificate sealed.\n b. Thereafter, such certificate shall be made available to the\nveteran, a duly authorized agent or representative of such veteran or\nthe representative of the estate of a deceased veteran but shall not be\navailable for public inspection.\n
