  § 876. Eligibility for reduction of sentence, parole or conditional\nrelease.  Nothing in this article shall be construed to prejudice the\neligibility of any prisoner participating in a work release program for\nthe purposes of discretionary reduction of sentence, parole or\nconditional release except absconding from work release as defined by\nsection 205.16 of the penal law; provided, however, that the\nparticipation of any prisoner in such program may be considered\nfavorably for such purposes if such participation has assisted in the\nrehabilitation of such prisoner.\n
