§ 79 — Leasing of state institutions to cities or counties for the confinement of prisoners

§ 79. Leasing of state institutions to cities or counties for the\nconfinement of prisoners.

1.The commissioner is hereby authorized and\nempowered to lease to any city or county, upon such terms and conditions\nas he may deem appropriate, all or any part of any state correctional\ninstitution or facility under his jurisdiction, to be used as an adjunct\nto a jail, penitentiary or correctional institution of such city or\ncounty, for the confinement of persons sentenced to such jail,\npenitentiary, or correctional institution. Such lease may provide for\nthe commissioner to have the superintendence, management and control of\nthe state correctional institution or facility, or part thereof, which\nis the subject of such lease.
