§ 43. Correction medical review board; organization. * 1. There shall\nbe within the commission a correction medical review board. It shall\nconsist of six persons to be appointed by the governor by and with the\nadvice and consent of the senate. The six appointed members of the board shall hold office for five\nyears; provided that of the two members first appointed, after December\nthirty-first, nineteen hundred eighty-seven who are not appointed to\nsucceed any other member of the board, one shall be appointed for a term\nof four years and one shall be appointed for a term of five years from\nJanuary first next succeeding their appointment. Any appointed member of\nthe board may be removed by the governor for cause after an opportunity\nto be heard in his defense.\n * 3. Any member chosen to fill a vacancy created other than by\nexpiration of term shall be appointed for the unexpired term of the\nmember whom he is to succeed. Vacancies caused by expiration of term or\notherwise shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments.\n * NB Effective until May 9, 2026\n * 3.
