§ 15-c. Acceptance of grants or gifts. The commissioner, with the\napproval of the governor, may accept as agent of the state any grant,\nincluding federal grants, or any gift for any of the purposes of this\narticle. Any moneys so received may be expended by the department to\ndevelop and promote programs for the study and treatment of crime and\ndelinquency, education and training of incarcerated individuals, staff\nimprovement, research and evaluation, improvement of facilities, or any\nother lawful purpose, subject to the same limitations as to approval of\nexpenditures and audit as are prescribed for state moneys appropriated\nfor the purpose of this article.\n
