§ 180-a. General functions. There is hereby created an agricultural\neconomic development program, the purpose of which shall be to target\nand promote:\n 1. agricultural resources industry development in ways which are\neconomically sustainable and environmentally sound;\n 2. public awareness and understanding of the economic, cultural and\nenvironmental importance of New York agriculture;\n 3. the development, retention, diversification and expansion of the\nagricultural resources industry in ways that will enhance related\nefforts of federal, state and local agencies, commissions, committees,\nassociations, trade groups and manufacturers;\n 4. electronic and other information shared related to the agriculture\nresources industry;\n 5. the development of financing mechanisms for t
