§ 160. Legislative findings and objectives. The legislature hereby\nfinds and declares that the promotion, attraction, stimulation,\ndevelopment and expansion of tourist travel, resort, vacation, culture\nand convention activities are vital and necessary concerns of the people\nof this state, since such activities form an important part of its\neconomy. Therefore, it is hereby determined that a program authorizing\nmatching funds and assistance to tourist promotion agencies for the\nplanning and promotion of programs designed to stimulate and increase\nthe volume of such tourist travel, resort, vacation, culture and\nconvention activities within our state will strengthen its economy,\nincrease employment of our citizens and promote the general welfare of\nthe people.\n
