§ 914. Duties of deputy county clerks. The deputy county clerks of\neach of the counties comprising the city of New York shall, subject to\nthe provisions of the public officers law, have all the powers and\nfulfill all the duties of the county clerk in his absence and shall be\nsubject to the same obligations and conditions prescribed for the county\nclerk while he is performing his duties.\n
