§ 9-M — Return of checks
§ 9-m. Return of checks. Any banking institution as that term is\ndefined in section nine-f of this chapter, except a credit union, and\nany other financial institution which offers consumer accounts, meaning\naccounts established by natural persons primarily for personal, family\nor household purposes, which can be accessed by check, negotiable order\nof withdrawal, or other similar written instrument, shall offer a\nconsumer account on which the cancelled checks, negotiable orders of\nwithdrawal, or other similar instruments drawn on that account are\nreturned to the customer with a periodic statement of the account.\n
