§ 96-h. Application of article. Notwithstanding any other provisions\nof this article, the knowing sale, exposure for sale, exchange or\ntransportation at any and all places within the state of the fur, hair,\nskin or flesh of domesticated dog (canis familiaris) or domesticated cat\n(felis catus or domesticus) as food, meat, custom slaughtered meat, farm\ndressed meat, meat by-product or meat food product edible by humans or\nanimals is hereby prohibited. A violation of this section shall subject\nthe offender to a civil penalty of up to one thousand dollars for an\nindividual and up to five thousand dollars for a corporation for the\nfirst violation.
