§ 150. Expiration of term. Every county executive elected or appointed\nfor a fixed term shall hold over and continue to discharge the duties of\nhis office after the expiration of his term until his successor is\nchosen and has qualified, but after the expiration of such term the\noffice shall be deemed vacant for the purpose of choosing his successor.\nAll provisions of section five of the public officers law not\ninconsistent with this chapter shall apply.\n
