§ 19.15. Penalty for violating this article. The violation of any of\nthe provisions of this article shall constitute a misdemeanor. This\narticle shall not apply to cities which have local laws or ordinances\nnow in force which provide for fireproof booths of any kind for moving\npicture machines or apparatus, nor to a place of public assembly as\ndefined in subdivision twelve of section two of the labor law and\nsubject to the requirements of the labor law and the rules adopted\nthereunder.\n
