§ 8-802 Powers and duties of police officers. The police officers so\nappointed shall have all the powers and be subject to the duties and\nliabilities of constables of towns in serving process in any civil\naction or proceeding. In addition to other powers conferred by law, said\npolice officers shall have power to execute any warrant or process\nissued by a court of the county or counties in which such village is\nsituated.\n
