§ 284. Establishment of statewide direct marketing activities. The\ndepartment shall conduct statewide direct marketing activities which\nshall include, but not be limited to, the following:\n 1. Communications and promotion of direct marketing activities, to\ninclude, where appropriate, cooperation with the cooperative extension\nservice in the area of education.\n 2. Development of institutional direct marketing programs to increase\nthe purchase of New York state farm and food products in coordination\nwith the office of general services and the department of education.\n 3. Development of a technical assistance program for initiating,\nimproving, and expanding direct marketing activities and developing new\nforms of direct marketing.\n 4.
