Text

The purpose of the Tourism Department Act is to create a cabinet-level department in order to: A. provide a coordinated statewide perspective with regard to tourism activities; B. provide a data base for local and regional tourism groups and serve as a comprehensive source of information and assistance to tourism-related businesses wishing to locate, expand or do business in New Mexico; and C. monitor the progress of state-supported tourism activities and prepare annual reports of such activities, their status and their impact.
