Every such association may change its name, increase or decrease its capital stock or membership, change the location of its principal office in this state, extend the period of its existence and make such other amendment, change or alteration as may be desired, not inconsistent with Chapter 73, Article 5 NMSA 1978 or other law of this state, by a resolution adopted by a vote of two-thirds in interest of the shareholders or members present at any regular or special meeting duly held upon such notice as the bylaws provide or, in the absence of such provision, upon twenty days' notice in writing given personally or by mail.
