§ 73-13-43 — [Validating law; definitions.]

The following terms, whenever used or referred to in this act [73-13-43 to 73-13-46 NMSA 1978], shall have the following meaning unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context: A. the term "irrigation law" shall mean Chapter 20 of the Session Laws of 1919, Chapter 41 of the Session Laws of 1919 and Chapter 76 of the Sessions Laws of 1929, and acts amendatory thereof, and Chapter 73 of the 1929 Compiled Statutes Annotated of New Mexico, as amended; B. the term "irrigation district" shall mean and include every irrigation district created, established or organized, or purporting to have been created, established or organized under the provisions of the irrigation law; C. the term "directors" shall mean and include every board of directors or other governing body of any irrigation district, created, established or organized, or purporting to have been created, established or organized under the provisions of the irrigation law.
