Text

The board of the district may: A. adopt, have and use a corporate seal and alter the same at pleasure; B. sue and be sued and be a party to suits, actions and proceedings; C. acquire, improve, equip, maintain and operate any project or facility; D. protect the watercourses, watersheds, public highways, life and property in the district from floods or storm waters; E. exercise the right of eminent domain within the district as provided in the Eminent Domain Code [42A-1-1 to 42A-1-33 NMSA 1978] and take any property necessary to carry out any of the objects or purposes of the Flood Control District Act; F. commence, maintain, intervene in, defend, compromise, terminate by settlement or otherwise and otherwise participate in and assume the cost and expense of any and all actions and proceedin
