N.M. Stat. Ann. § 61-31-18 (2026).

Text

The license of any social worker to practice in this state shall be subject to restriction, suspension or revocation in case of inability of the licensee to practice social work with reasonable skill and safety to clients by reason of one or more of the following: A. mental disability; or B. habitual or excessive use of controlled substances, as defined in the Controlled Substances Act [Chapter 30, Article 31 NMSA 1978], or alcohol.
