Text
The board: A. shall examine all applicants for licensure to practice physical therapy and issue licenses or permits to those who are duly qualified; B. shall regulate the practice of physical therapy by interpreting and enforcing the provisions of the Physical Therapy Act; C. may promulgate rules in accordance with the State Rules Act [Chapter 14, Article 4 NMSA 1978] to carry out the provisions of the Physical Therapy Act; D. may meet as often as it deems necessary. A majority of the members constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business. The board shall keep an official record of all its proceedings; E. may establish requirements for assessing continuing competency; F. may collect fees; G. may elect such officers as it deems necessary for the operations and obligations of the board
