Text

Any person who has a perfected security interest under Chapter 55, Article 9 NMSA 1978 may claim any personal property subject to the security interest and subject to a lien arising under the Self-Service Storage Lien Act by paying the total amount due for the storage of the property as specified in the notice to the owner on behalf of the occupant as provided in Section 7 [48-11-7 NMSA 1978] of the Self-Service Storage Lien Act. Upon payment of the total amount due, the owner shall deliver possession of the particular property subject to the security interest to the person who paid the total amount due together with an affidavit setting forth his entitlement to the property. The owner shall not be liable for any action taken pursuant to the provisions of the Self- Service Storage Lien Act
