Text

A. The department shall make available a list of sexually transmitted infections for which reporting is required. B. Reports of sexually transmitted infections shall be made in accordance with department rules. C. Every health care provider that makes a diagnosis of, treats or prescribes for or otherwise has knowledge of a case of sexually transmitted infection for which reporting is required by department rules shall report the case immediately. D. As used in this section, "health care provider" means:

(1)a person licensed to provide health care in the ordinary course of business;
(2)a superintendent or manager of a health care clinic;
(3)a dispensary, a charitable or penal institution or a municipal or county detention center; or (4) a laboratory that performs testing for sexually tra
