§ 21-8-14 — [Acceptance of congressional grant of 1890 for New

Mexico state university.] The assent of the legislature of New Mexico is hereby given in pursuance of the requirement of Section two of an act of congress entitled, an act to apply a portion of the proceeds of the public lands to the more complete endowment and support of the colleges for the benefit of agriculture and the mechanic arts, established under the provisions of an act of congress approved July 2, 1862, approved August 30th, 1890, to the granting of moneys for the benefit of the agricultural college of New Mexico [New Mexico state university], and the said legislature accepts and consents to all of the terms and conditions of said act of congress, and assent is further given to carry out within the state of New Mexico, all and singular, the provisions of said act of congress.
