training; kindergarten training school.] There are hereby established as branches or departments of said New Mexico normal university [New Mexico highlands university], to be carried on at Las Vegas, a school of manual training for the state of New Mexico, the object of which shall be to instruct pupils, and to train and qualify teachers to teach the use of hands and tools in the various useful arts of practical value to the people of the state; and also a kindergarten training school to qualify teachers of the state to use that system of teaching in the primary schools.
