Senate district forty-two is composed of Chaves county precinct 47; Eddy county precincts 5, 12, 19, 20, 24, 27, 28, 36, 37, 39, 42, 45 through 48 and 54; and Lea county precincts 10, 13, 18 through 30, 33, 37 through 44, 56 and 57.
