Text
States; selection of lands in lieu thereof.] The commissioner of public lands is authorized to quitclaim to the United States the title to any lands set apart to the state, under grants from the United States through error of the department of the interior or local land office, and which have been patented to other persons or corporations or on which, because of erroneous descriptions, filings have been made, and to select other lands of the United States in lieu thereof.
