Text
For the purposes of this act: a. "Child" means a person under 18 years of age.
b."Child abuse" means abuse, abandonment, cruelty or neglect of a child as defined in R.S. 9:6-1, endangering the welfare of a child as defined in N.J.S. 2C:24-4 or any sexual offense as defined in chapter 14 of Title 2C of the New Jersey Statutes which is committed against a child. L. 1986, c. 27, s. 1, eff. June 17, 1986.
