§ 54:50-2 — Examination, investigation
New Jersey·Title 54 TAXATION
a.For the purpose of administering the State Tax Uniform Procedure Law, or any State tax law, the director, whenever he deems it expedient, may make or cause to be made by any employee of the Division of Taxation engaged in the administration of that law, or any State tax law, an examination or investigation of the place of business, if any, the tangible personal property and the books, records, papers, vouchers, accounts and documents of any taxpayer. Every taxpayer and every director, officer, agent or employee of every taxpayer shall exhibit to the director or to any such employee of the Division of Taxation, the place of business, the tangible personal property and all of the books, records, papers, vouchers, accounts and documents of the taxpayer and facilitate any such examination o
