a.Upon receipt of an application for registration as a professional guardian, the Office of the Public Guardian for Elderly Adults is authorized to determine whether criminal history record information exists on file in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Identification Division or in the State Bureau of Identification in the Division of State Police that would disqualify the person from being registered as a professional guardian. The Office of the Public Guardian for Elderly Adults is authorized to access the child abuse registry in the Department of Children and Families and the domestic violence central registry in the Administrative Office of the Courts.
