61.Division of Elder Advocacy; established. There is hereby established in the Department of the Treasury the Division of Elder Advocacy to be under the supervision of the Director of the Division of Elder Advocacy, appointed by the Governor. For the purposes of complying with the provisions of Article V, Section IV, paragraph 1 of the New Jersey Constitution, the Division of Elder Advocacy is hereby allocated to the Department of the Treasury, but, notwithstanding this allocation, the division shall be independent of any supervision or control by the department or by any board or officer thereof.
