9.The director may delegate to the director's designee any power granted to the Director pursuant to P.L.2016, c.4 (C.52:27BBBB-1 et al.). The designation to a director's designee shall be in writing and filed with the Local Finance Board. Any action of a director's designee taken subsequent to the delegation shall be deemed to have been taken by the Director. If any claims are asserted against the director's designee, the director's designee shall, for that purpose only, be considered a State officer within the scope of the "New Jersey Tort Claims Act," N.J.S.59:1-1 et seq. L.2016, c.4, s.9.
