2.Each public member shall serve for a term of two years, except that of the members first appointed, four shall serve for a term of one year and four shall serve for a term of two years. Public members shall be eligible for reappointment and shall serve until their successors are appointed and qualified. A vacancy occurring other than by expiration of term shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment was made but for the unexpired term only. Commission members shall serve without compensation but shall be entitled to reimbursement for all necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. L.1995,c.295,s.2.
