17.
a.The board may revoke any license, after hearing for cause. The board may discipline any licensee who shall violate any of the provisions of this act or the regulations made pursuant thereto. This discipline may take the form of revocation or suspension of a license held by the licensee for all or part of the unexpired portion thereof, and of a refusal to renew a license held by any such licensee.
b.The board may, upon its own motion, or upon the verified written complaint of any person charging a licensee with violating any provision of this act or the rules and regulations promulgated hereunder, suspend temporarily any license or permit until final determination by the board when such an action is necessary to protect the public welfare and the best interests of boxing, wrestling,
